Barbara Cuba, LMHC

Children, Teens, Adults

Are you feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed, carrying self-doubt, navigating relationship challenges, or unsure about your next steps? You’re not alone. Many of the patterns that keep us feeling “stuck” are rooted in earlier experiences that shaped how we see ourselves, others, and the world. Therapy can help gently uncover these patterns, bringing awareness, healing, and the opportunity to create meaningful change.

My life’s work has been dedicated to supporting children, teens, young adults, women, men, and families in finding emotional balance, clarity, and confidence. I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, abusive relationships, divorce, job loss, life changes, low self-esteem, stress and grief.  Together, we work to reduce overwhelm, build resilience, and create healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating.

My approach is holistic, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate mind, body and spirit.  I incorporate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and solution-focused techniques, along with a holistic and person-centered perspective. When appropriate, I also incorporate elements of Jungian and Existential therapy frameworks to support deeper healing and connection. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered, along with practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.

With a background in counseling, education, and working with individuals and families across various settings, I bring a well-rounded understanding of emotional and developmental needs. My work is rooted in the belief that growth and healing are always possible, and that each person already holds the capacity for change within themselves.

My goal is to walk alongside you as you break old patterns, strengthen your sense of self, and move toward a more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling life.

If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I would be honored to support you.
